Casa Esperança

Public

Children and adolescents from 6 to 17 years old in the school shift in the interior of Bahia

Capacity

80 places

Casa Esperança was born as a project in 2007, a place where children and teenagers receive emotional, spiritual and educational support.

In 2024, the Casa became an ABBA prevention service and serves around 80 children in a town of less than 5,000 inhabitants in the interior of Bahia.

As it is a small town, the public education offered goes up to elementary school. Therefore, in order to complete high school, students have to travel to the neighboring town.

Students at Casa Esperança are offered free school transportation through the Bolsa Transporte.

Activities

In the after-school hours, the children take part in handicraft classes, ballet, guitar lessons and sports practices, learn about the love of Jesus through the AEP curriculum - Educational Approach by Principles, as well as benefiting from breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack. The teenagers who use the transport grant to attend high school take part in the Casa's activities three times a week and can use the computer resources to carry out their activities, as well as having school support time.
