Pearls is an ABBA foster care service that combines the desire to contribute socially with an understanding of the importance of family life for children and adolescents, especially those who are going through difficult times.

A foster family is a family or a member of society who takes a child and/or adolescent into their home temporarily, offering them love, care, protection and family life, in order to reintegrate them into their biological family or integrate them into an adoptive family.

This family becomes the main guardians of the child and/or adolescent, receiving temporary custody and acting as voluntary collaborators with the Pérolas team, the court and others involved, to provide the necessary support until their fate is determined.

The program works in partnership with the judiciary and the Unified Social Assistance System (SUAS).
